LARYNGITIS
Introduction :
When the swelling occurs in mucus membrane of larynx, it is called laryngitis. A type of sticky phlegm comes out from it.
Hoarsens of voice is main symptom of this disease. Throat irritation, light fever, dried cough and pain in the whole body are other symptoms of this disease. Redness and swelling appear on the layer of the mucus membrane while testing. Taking steam of boiled water or mix tinchar jone or Vicks in boiled water is useful. The medicine (which cures cough) should be used and smoking should not be used. Diphtheria, measles or influenza can occur as a fatal symptom of infectious diseases. Common catarrh can occur with swelling of quick larynx. Laryngitis can occur due to smelling poisonous gas too.

Symptom :
Diphtheria, measles or influenza can occur as a fatal symptom of infectious diseases.
Treatment :
- Make a decoction by boiling dry ginger and bay-berry with water. After that, take this decoction, it provides relief in swelling and pain of the throat.
- Take the decoction of 20-40 ml leaves of silverfir twice a day to end throat inflammation.
- Suck cubeb to cure laryngitis, hoarseness and clear the voice properly.
- Take tragacanth gum twice a day, it provides relief in many types of diseases of the throat. Keep attention that tragacanth gum should be soaked in water before some hours of use after that take it with mixed syrup of sugar candy.
- Suck borax tablet, it is useful to cure laryngitis.
- Laryngitis is cured by taking 3-9 grams powder of beleric myrabalan with honey twice a day. Besides it, it cures other diseases of the throat too.
- Sucking liquorice piece is useful for the treatment of laryngitis.
- Taking 20-40 ml decoction of Bhatcateya root or 2.50 to 5 grams powder of its leaves twice a day provides relief in laryngitis.
- Smoke with powder of Lata kasturi seeds, it is useful to cure laryngitis.
